Crackling noise with Interface 2 when scrolling Rekordbox

I purchased Rekordbox DVS with Interface 2 package.

With music playing from Rekordbox through the Interface 2 when I open Playlists, scroll in Rekordbox or drag tracks around in the user interface I can hearing loud crackling sounds coming through the Interface 2.

I do not have this problem with either Traktor or Serato.

Rekordbox version: 4.5.0. Interface driver: 1.0 (6 July 2017) for Mac OSX Sierra

Connected to a 2016 MacBookPro with Intel Core i5 / 16GB RAM / SSD running MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 (16G29).

It seems that the Interface 2 is allowing the noise of reads from the SSD on the MacBook to be audible.

I have already logged this with Pioneer support and I am overdue a response.

Logged with Pioneer support where? I just looked and don't see any tickets in our system, so I assume you maybe called someone?

Please file a rekordbox inquiry ticket here and our support team will be able to better address this than any other support avenue. Thanks.

Hi. No, I logged a Ticket and then followed up the original ticket.

Email reply:
"Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your email, your enquiry has been registered in our system under reference number:
Pioneer ticket ref nr: 40734"

@Greg > Sorry, that's not a ticket within our Zendesk system; which website did you log that with?

@Greg > Yeah, that's the Pioneer Europe contact form. Since the company changes last year, I'm not 100% familiar with how Europe has managed the support split, but it should still get to our DJ department.

Please use the link I provided above and our PDJ support teams will be happy to help you resolve the issue. Sorry for the confusion!

I don't think this is an Interface 2 issue, as it does it with both my RR and RZ.

The problem seems to be the way RB draws to the screen, ie, not very efficiently - using up tonnes up CPU usage to do so (check your CPU limit at the time). If you look at the "time elapsed/remaining" counter on the decks, does that also freeze whilst you are scrolling around?

For me, it behaves horribly if I have the full screen library page open, but if I just use the standard view it's fine (as not so much to update).

@Greg > I just spoke with our European support agent and he said that the ticket on their system seems to be closed, so he's asked me to follow-up here...

Are you using the IF2 with the external power supply?

Hey guys, the engineers have asked if you could try increasing the buffer size for the audio device in the preferences. While playback at a low buffer may be fine, it's known that sometimes scrolling can increase the load on the buffer, resulting in distortion in the audio output.
