Can I use the finger pad of XDJ RX2 to load samples?

Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to use the finger pad of XDJ RX2 as sampler to load samples ?

If you look at the XDJ-RX2 rekordbox Hardware Diagram, you'll see that you use the BEAT JUMP pad mode as the SAMPLER mode (if you want BEAT JUMP it's SHIFT+SLIP LOOP).

When in SAMPLER mode, pressing one of the pads will play that sample, holding the shift wile pressing that pad will pause the sample. Unfortunately there is no pre-assigned method of loading a sample to a particular bank - the best function for that would be a keyboard shortcut or using your mouse or an additional MIDI controller to map that item.

How do you mean "load" samples - assign them from the collection to a sampler? Or slice a sample from the audio to the sampler?

I mean assign them from collection to a sampler, and play the samples by the performing pads on XDJ RX2.

Cause it seems there are no "Sampler" button on the performing pad like DDJ does.

So does that mean I'll have to connect to a laptop to assign samples?

Sorry - there's a misunderstanding...

Without the RX2 connected to a computer, you don't have a sampler function. You need to be using the RX2 controlling rekordbox in PERFORMANCE mode in order for that to be used.
