Does DDJ-SX2 USB powered?

I always thought it's USB powered from laptop beside the main power supply from adapter, but last night during my gig it turned off by itself when the electricity at the venue went off meanwhile my laptop still on.

No, the DDJ-SX / DDJ-SX2 require the DC power connector in order to function. Not enough power is provided by USB to operate.
