Could you better describe "crunching" ? Like audio glitches / pops?

hello, I have my DDJ-SR set up with my dell computer which is compatible but when I'm playing my choons its seems to be crunching, I have recently upgraded from a mix track pro 2 and have had no problems with that when its been run through my Serato software. can you help
