Seeing related tracks to currently played track when in pro dj link mode

Hello,

in export mode, when I connect my XDJ-1000 / DJM-900 with my Windows 10 laptop via LINK and load a track to the Player 1 I don't see tracks which are related to the loaded track.

In the "Customize the criteria" window I have "Master player" set as a current track source. And it ends up showing the list empty. If I switch current track to list source it works, but it's not as convenient as having related tracks selected automatically based on a track playing in a master player.

How do I make that "Master player" thing work? Please help.

@Tim > Related Tracks within rekordbox EXPORT mode is not for a linked external player; the MASTER, DECK 1, or DECK 2 selected is one of the preview players. If you wanted to use it with one of the RX decks as the MASTER, you need to be in PERFORMANCE mode.

Set it in the settings to list mode instead of master track and click the song to see what's related, hope this helps.

Yeah, I wrote that I did that, but it's not what I need. I need it to work with "Master player" but apparently rekordbox doesn't see XDJ as a master player. Is this a bug or there's a setting for that? I read through manual - no information... weird

@Pulse, thanks for reply. I'm on XDJ-1000 not RX. If I go to performance mode, I guess, I can't be connected via LINK, I should go to HID, am I correct? I don't want to go HID as it's a very limiting experience.

I'm just wondering, what's the difference between "Master player" and "Player A" in Current track selection then? It's a pity it doesn't treat master XDJ as a "Master player", I though it works that way...

Sorry, XDJ-RX or XDJ-1000 or CDJ ... works the same way; when in EXPORT mode, the MASTER deck is referenced within the software's preview players, not the linked players.

When linked, you are using the functionality of the player to perform that sorting and matching. Your best bet is to use the LIST option for the match.

Bummer... I think that'd be a great feature if you could drag a song to the cdj / xdj and rekordbox treats it as master player automatically showing related tracks on the right. Is it possible to pass that feature request to your product / development team?

Sorry, totally a limitation of the LINK and not something likely to be included in an update.
