I know the XDJ 1000 mk 2 can connect the SP1 but can the XDJ 1000 mk 1 connect the sp1 to the USB port as mk2

Hi All,
This may be a question which would have been answered but i cannot locate the answer im looking for.
I use the the Nexus 900 with mixer and have linked it via network cable (RJ45) where i connect the laptop and use Rekordbox 4.1.1.
My question is can i plug the SP1 via usb and the Nexus 900's via network cable and use the SP1, will it work?

@Pulse, thanks for your reply.... So from what that I have understand I can connect all the pieces to mac book air with an hub and after with rekordbox rekordbox performance I can have and manipulate 8 hotcues with the Ddj sp1, is it ok???
