XDJ-1000 Autocue Weirdness

I have two XDJ-1000s, linked. On one deck, A.CUE is white, and all my tracks load on the cue. On the other, A.CUE is red, and I need to call the cue point (by pressing the > icon). I want both decks to have A.CUE white.

When I switch the USB to the other deck, the A.CUE colors swap as well. So it's gotta be a setting on the decks, not Rekordbox. But the only thing I'm able to change is A.CUE off/on. Is there a magic way to toggle it between red and white??

Rekordbox/Preferences/CDJ & Device/My Settings/My Setting/Play Mode = Single, Auto Hot Cue Mode = On.

Press and hold the A.CUE button to toggle the setting.

The reason it changes based on the USB is because you're loading the player preferences stored on the stick, but the player preferences on the deck itself are the reverse, so when you don't have the preferences loaded from the USB drive, it's going to the default settings.

Thanks for the reply. I did press and hold but that only seems to toggle it on / off. I want it on! But I want the track to start on the cue. Please check out the attached image- it's easier to explain with photos!

You want it to be white, but you also want to set this in your utility menu:

AUTO CUE LEVEL: MEMORY

The red A.CUE indicator means it's cueing from a certain audio level (as designated by the setting in the utility), and not from a memory point.

Don't forget, it you set those preferences on the USB drive itself, when you connect it to a player it will ask if you want to load those preferences. You can do the same on the linked deck so your settings are always what you want / need.
