Recording issue wiith rekordbox (ddj sx)

I have no recording levels on the indicator beside REC button it has stopped working for a while now?? & in the Audio preference tab i have to select (Speakers Pioneer DDJ SX) or else i cant Mix at all, ive being told that im supposed to select ASIO but it doesnt work please help!
