XDJ-XZ Audio recording

I have installed the USB and Audio drivers for the XDJ-XZ from the pioneer website, my windows 10 machine (fully updated) recognises the hardware and it shows up in the audio settings and device manager as working fine.

When i try and use Audacity or any other audio/video capture software to record, the audio the software recognises the unit but no audio signal is detected. ( i used to use OBS to live stream dj mixes with my old nexus setup which worked fine, pluged in via use from the mixer)

Ive opened recordbox and the unit connects to the software and worts fine in export mode (i do not use performance mode)

I have re-installed the software, used different USB ports but still no joy, checked the audio settings in windows which are all correct.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Audacity can't use ASIO drivers to record by default; please see this page in their wiki on compiling a version with ASIO support, or use a 3rd party application to provide WASAPI audio for Audacity.

Thank you, I will read up on this. I've since purchased a 3rd party audio interface which work ok but I'd prefer to to just have the audio signal from the XZ.
Thanks for you responses 🙏

What about  OBS which is the best way to connect with Twitch f ex. On other products this works with Pioneer, but not with the XDJ-XZ

@Jokke > For other applications, you can use Voicemeeter Banana to achieve this - there are guides for streaming in our knowledge base; an XDJ-XZ specific one is coming soon.

I am 99% prepared to purchase the XZ but would like to know how to get the highest quality audio output while live streaming using OBS. If you could please send me an update as soo as the specific guide comes out.
