Yes, as the RB-DMX1 relies on rekordbox performance mode to manage the lighting control, you would still need the computer for that.

XDJ-XZ + DMX1 + CDJ3000
I use the DMX1 with the CDJ and find it very disturbing that I have to use my Laptop in combination with the XZ to get the DMX1 to work;
if I would use the CDJ3000 connected to DMX1 & XZ would I still need Rekordbox and my laptop to make my lighting work?
