Recording issue with Xdj rx

Also having recording issues with my XDJ RJ. Despite not happening on the master when you play back the recording (from USB 2) there are always a few infuriating skips! It's a new corsair USB, can someone please help? It's killing meeeee

Yeah, there are issues with the Survivor / Survivor Stealth series (which is why I immediately asked those particular Corsair models), please use a different model or another brand entirely. Sorry.

Hi Pulse,

I recorded a mix with another USB (older, crappy one) and there were no jumps.

Recorded another one and once again there are jumps. I cannot explain how frustrating it is!

So now I'm going to have to buy a new USB, can you please recommend one which will definitely work?

On another note, is it unsafe to continue using the corsair USB to play tunes from USB 1? It works fine on my unit, but I don't want to carry on using it, if when I try to use it on another CDJ or XDJ it won't work.

Thanks for your help

Hi Pulse can you please get back to me with some recommendations for USBs that definitely won't cause any problems?

Thanks

I use a Corsair GTX and SanDisk Extreme Pro and have zero issues with them -- and they're faster than most other drives on the market.

My Samsung usb has never had a problem and has recently started skipping on recordings, is there anything else i can do that might stop this from happening?

@sam > A couple of options:

- format the drive and start fresh (FULL format, not just a quick wipe)

- try a different USB drive
