Which version of Android are you running on your device?

@Jacopo > Thanks. Here are a couple of FAQs worth noting:

Q: Some Android smartphones do not recognize XDJ-RX (E-8307)

A: When some types of Android smartphones are connected to XDJ-RX using a USB cable, a caution [E-8307 UNSUPPORTED DEVICE] may appear on XDJ-RX, which may not be properly recognized. When you use such Android smartphones, please use them through wireless connection.

Q: When an Android smartphone and the XDJ-RX are connected by USB cable, the smartphone is not recognized by the XDJ-RX.

A: This may be due to one of the following reasons:

1. The Android smartphone you are using does not support the MTP mode. The smartphone must support the MTP mode in order to connect it by USB cable to the XDJ-RX. For information on whether or not your smartphone supports the MTP mode and how to set it, see the operating instructions of the smartphone.
   
2. Depending on the specifications of the MTP mode of the smartphone you are using, the operation may differ depending on whether or not an SD memory card is inserted. In some cases, it may be possible to connect the smartphone to the XDJ-RX after removing (or inserting) the SD memory card.
   
3. Depending on the specifications of the MTP mode of the smartphone you are using, there are some terminals on which the “MTP in use” message is displayed continuously in the foreground of the screen of the smartphone while connected by MTP. With such terminals, rekordbox cannot be operated with MTP connections, so such terminals cannot be connected to the XDJ-RX using a USB cable.
   
4. Depending on the specifications of the MTP mode of the smartphone you are using, MTP connections may only be usable with applications exclusively for Macintosh or Windows. Such terminals cannot be connected to the XDJ-RX using a USB cable.

Ok, Pulse, i try "MTP" mode...if won't go right i will buy a wireless access point.

Little O.T. Please don't forget to tell Pioneer's engineers to make "active deck lock" function on a future firmware, because in last version 1.60 it doesn't appear :-(  ...most of XDJ-RX users need it. Thanks!!!!

these FAQs say "some android devices" is there any way to tell which are supported so I can stop wasting my time if mine is not. I have a Nexus 5x but regardless of MTP mode or not it is not being recognized.
