NEEDLE SEARCH MALFUNCTION
IS THERE A WAY TO DISABLE THE NEEDLE SEARCH FUNCTION ON THE DDJ SZ2. AFTER INSTALLING SERATO DJ PRO 2.1 BETA, IT NO LONGER WORKS WHILE THE TRACK IS PLAYING. I CAN'T SLIDE MY FINGER OVER IT TO MOVE THE TRACK BACK OR FORWARD. IT WILL HOWEVER WORK IF I COMPLETELY STOP THE TRACK, WHICH IN THAT CASE THE FUNCTION IS USELESS. I WAS THINKING I MAYBE SOMEHOW ACCIDENTALLY DISABLED IT. THE MANUAL SAYS TO HAVE THE CENSOR BUTTON LIT, HOWEVER IT WILL ONLY STAY LIT UNLESS YOU DEPRESS SHIFT/CENSOR SIMULTANEOUSLY AND THEN THE TRACK WILL CONTINUALLY PLAY BACKWARDS. NOT SURE, PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU

Have you tried pressing shift while doing needle search?
On mixxx plain needle search only works on non playing decks. You can however force the needle search on a playing track by pressing shift. This is because accidentally touching needle search while playing is not something you want. I assume serato follows the same idea.

On a side note: shift+censor is continous reversed play.

same issue on sx 3 some tracks needdle shift works while pressing shift key and tracks it doesn't ,the needle strip works fine just the shift on some tracks don't work and it is not deck related tried the same song on both deck a and b same thing
