If the license you purchase from another user is for rekordbox 4 or newer, and has been deactivated by that user, then you are free to activate it on your account and use it for version 4 or 5. We also expect that when version 6 is released, it will be a free update, but that is yet to be seen as we don't have a timeline for v6 release.
