It's likely the fact that your computer's a bit older with a small amount of RAM and your audio buffer can't keep pace. Try increasing the size of the buffer within the rekordbox audio preferences.
Hi everyone,
Im using a XDJ RX2 with Rekordbox on Windows 10 on a sony vaio 4GB RAM and im finding that towards the end of every gig the sound drops out completely for about 5 seconds then comes back on but continues with a crackling sound which realy sounds bad and un professional. Would anyone know what this issue could be?
Many Thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter,
Did you resolve the issue? Did you try to DJ just using the unit without laptop?
I’m experiencing same issue with XDJ RX 1 and djing without laptop.
It feels like something to do with grounding, but I don’t know.
Hi Pulse,
Can you ask Pioneer Service Centre if they had been receiving XDJ RXs experiencing cracking sounds and drops?
Once I opened mine and noticed the screen cable was not clipped well, but later it happened again.
If it's occurring as a stand-alone unit, then no, we haven't had many issues with that. If you're asking about when used as a rekordbox controller, the likely problem is the audio buffer size.
Hi Pal, I increased the buffer size like pulse said and did a five hour gig last weekend and everything seemed to be okay. So far so good anyway. I'm using a laptop with XDJ RX2, Rekordbox software
