Did you press and hold SHIFT+SYNC on the left deck when powering on the SR, and does the master level meter flash to indicate it's in firmware update mode?

DDJ-SR java update - not working
Have an issue loading the DDJ-SR Java software. It keeps saying my DDJ SR is not connected when it is connected via USB. My serato DJ cannot detect the DDJ SR although the keys are lighted up. please help. using mac.
