Hey Oliver,
It's possible that your computer isn't providing adequate power to the DDJ over the USB. Please try using a different USB port or a different USB cable to see if that improves it.

DJJ-400 FX Pad some effects not working
I am using the DJJ-400 which is brand new and some of the FX pad features like Echo, and others do not work when the controller is plugged in. The effects work fine when I am just using rekordbox on my laptop (mac) without it plugged in. So it's not the software and it is not the hardware because the set is brand new. When I click the pad it registers that I am hitting that particular effect in Rekordbox because I get a blue outline around the fx effect I am hitting.
Please help
