Maximum long USB cable PRO DJ Link ? XDJ-RX2

I want to connect my XDJ-RX2 to my music library in my iMac but they are not close.

How long can this cable be?

What specifications does this USB cable need to be?

USB specifications say the maximum recommended length is 5m / 16 feet.

USB2 is the standard used, but it can be connected to a USB3 port.

Can I connect a USB hard drive with all my music collection?

I mean just the hard drive, without any software, just the music files.

Yes, you can connect a USB drive of audio files to the unit directly, but you will greatly benefit from having those files analysed and exported by rekordbox to take advantage of the sorting, searching, and filtering options of the XDJ-RX2.
