can someone at pioneer sort the firmware so that the XDJ 1000 mk2s work with traktor like the mk1 versions do? as much as i like rekordbox i also like to use traktor.

It does work with Traktor, there just hasn't been any HID implementation from Native Instruments. You are welcome to create / find a 3rd party TSI mapping to control the software with your XDJ.

Can you advise how I connect traktor to it? When I try and select a deck on traktor and press the link button I get no option to select each deck. Native instruments are blaring pioneer saying that pioneer removed the hid support from the mk2s
You won't have an option to select a deck, that's only available for HID. As a MIDI device, you will need to select a different MIDI channel for each XDJ and configure the control options in Traktor to respond accordingly.
We didn't remove HID compatibility.

I'm in the same boat as you Philip, let me know if you manage to get a good TSI file as there are none out there I can find. Tried myself but couldnt figure out how to get the jog wheel working
NI is telling me that a big chunk of this integration falls on Pioneer. NI has request TP-11679 open and needs pioneer dj help to get this done..
