When using my jog wheel to search through a track (in cdj or vinyl mode), I am able to search through the track for a couple seconds then the track will stop. After a few seconds it will let me search again only to stop again. It almost seems like the cdj has to load more track before it will let me search through more of the track. If it means anything, I am not having this problem when using the search buttons.

This is normal - you're just outrunning the buffer. Try going slower or just use the search buttons. The other trick you can do is hold the search button and wind the jog dial in the direction you want to go.
