Menu Items Missing in Traktor 2.5 with DDJ-T1

Hi,

I'm missing the Decks menu in Traktor.

Well it has a Track Decks menu, but that menu misses the Waveform settings.

I want it in Spectrum mode.

In the Track Decks menu it only lets me adjust Track End Warning, PlayMarker Position, Stripe View Fit and Default Zoom.

It just got the DDJ-T1, fresh install on Macbook Pro.

After installation of the Traktor 2 Pioneer  DDJ-T1 Edition 2 i launched Service Centre and updated it with the Traktor 2.5 update.

Shouldn't i have done that?

Hope any can help me.

Thanks in advance,

Juno

Yes, there's nothing wrong with updating to 2.5.  I haven't updated to 2.5 yet myself, but I'm sure you can find what you're looking for by adjusting certain display options.

I'm pretty sure the spectrum view was available with traktor pro 2 not the pioneer edition of traktor 2. There are features avail in tp2 only that are not in the pioneer edition. Such as effects and cross fader adjustment

I've possibly just been a massive idiot. Updating my DDJ T1 to Pioneer 2.5 edition or whatever this is. Please tell me it's not Native Instruments Traktor Pro 2.5? & they're giving it free now!? - I've just bought a copy off eBay! Arghhhhhh!

Correct; the Pioneer edition upgrade doesn't update you to the Pro version, you require a Pro 2 serial for that -- and be careful buying from eBay; if the seller doesn't contact NI to release the serial, you're stuck.

I''ve uninstalled Traktor and reinstalled the Traktor CD that was provided with the DDJ-T1.

Now i have the Decks menu, which has the Waveform Color settings.

But i miss the Layout menu and i can't remove some mixer(digital representation of filter, low, mid high) stuff.

Isn't that available in the DDJ-T1 Edition 2 either?

Please let me know.

Cheers,

Juno

I'm interested to see what type of wave form options you have. Not sure if there is an option in the control panel. Try clicking the bar where the track title is or just next to the magnifying glass sem
Lect a new view option. Hope that helps

I can choose the following waveforms: X-ray, Infrared, Ultraviolet and Spectrum

But i wan't to change the layout, therefore i need the Layout Manager.

Isn't that available in  Traktor 2 Pioneer  DDJ-T1 Edition 2 either?

I have another question, can i buy the upgrade for Traktor 2 Pro and do have all the options available?

If i understand, Traktor 2 Pioneer  DDJ-T1 Edition 2 is an Traktor 2 ME edition?

So i thought, buying an upgrade for 2 Pro and just import TSI for DDJ-T1 should give me all the options available.

No, the layout manager is not available in the Pioneer or LE versions.  The Pioneer edition is better than an LE version (has more features and effects), but is still a reduced version from Pro.

You wouldn't need to import the TSI as it's now a supported controller within the setup wizard.

I bought Traktor 2 Pro, limitless awesomeness for 79 euros.

I can advise it to everybody!

Cheers,

Just an FYI - as of v2.5 you'll need the Pioneer TSI file in order to get the sample-decks.

Last year I bought a Pioneer  DDJ T-1 ,Just got a Maschine Mikro last week, Now I am thinking of upgrade my Traktor from Pioneer Version to Pro 2.5. Is it worth it? Would T1 works well with Maschine Mikro and Traktor Pro?

I want to bring focus to the initial post.  Can someone confirm the that ultraviolet mode becomes unavailable for DDJ T1 edition if you upgrade to 2.5?  I am observing this here for 2.5 and 2.5.1 unless I'm missing something in the settings.  There is no more "Decks" menu, but there is a "Track Decks" menu, but without the "color mode" dropdown as advertised in this video:

I don't see any benefit upgrading to 2.5 from the delivered version of traktor, so I think I'm going to downgrade to get this back, unless someone can point out how to turn it on in 2.5.1.  Thanks.

Hi Derek,

I had the same problem, when you update your Pioneer version of Traktor, some Menu Items dissapear.

What i did was, completely uninstall Traktor Pioneer Edition and then i installed the latest Traktor version, full license.

You must check internet or this forum how to get rid of all the Traktor files installed, after that you should install the Full Version.

I bought a full license for Traktor, i wanted all the features Traktor has.

@Bobby

I have no clue, but yeah i think so.

Maybe the shop where you are going to buy the Maschine knows.

Have and good luck with the Maschine!

It's still not clear to me if your fix was that you ended up purchasing the pro version or not.  Were you able to fix this without spending more money?

In case I interpreted your message such that it was possible, but you needed to start with a full install of the latest, the only full install I have is the one provided with my controller, then I would have to do an update.  I haven't been able to find a full install of 2.5.1.

I've wasted a lot of time on this that I'm just going to buy the pro version, I hope this is issue is resolved / clarified for others that come along this thread.

I couldn't resolve it with the Pioneer Edition.
When updating to the latest update, the Pioneer Edition misses some menus.
The only way i could resolve it, was buying the full Pro version.

But all in all it is not a very big investment in your dj career, 79 euro.
