PROTECTIVE CLEAR SKIN FOR PIONEER PRODUCTS????

Hello,

i have a new set of cdj 2000 nexus players and a djm 900 nexus. was wondering if somebody makes a protective clear skin to go over the products to protect against wear and tear. kinda like a cell phone screen cover.

Thanks

Brandon

There isn't anything available, that I am aware of that would meet your exact needs. There is StyleFlip who make custom skins that go over the body of the CDJs - its protective but probably not what you had in mind.

Other than that, covering your gear when not in use and during transport is the best option.

you need a skin that would stick to the players, the ones you see 1:00 in I can see being annoying and you hitting the plastic when trying to use buttons fast

I'm not sure if they have those clear things for the nexus deck savers but probably?? I e-mailed them a long time about the DJM 2000 to see if it had a cover but they never responded

Just ordered one for my DJM 2000 and my RMX 1000 so I'll let you know... picking up my nexus decks soon if the Dec 10 update fixes all the crashes in which case I'll be ordering a couple of nexus deck savers as well

oh nice, well definitely look for my posts, I am sure I will be one of the first to voice my fw update opinion and findings :)

They have holes around the buttons

right, but it still looks flimsy like it will annoy you more then help you in my opinion

Sounds like you didn't watch the video :P the deck savers apparently come with plastic sheets to leave on WHILE you are playing as well, according to the video

The decksaver for the CDJ2000 and the CDJ2000 Nexus both come with a protective faceplate that you leave on. They don't slip and are pretty good.  You have to pull off the touch/brake and release/start knobs to fit, but once the knobs are pushed back on they hold the faceplate securely. I've used decksavers with faceplates for over a year and I'm very happy with them. My decks have no smudges or scratches. They are expensive but well worth it.

Unfortunately decksaver do not sell just the faceplate, you have to buy the cover as well.

Anyone that already uses decksaver faceplates on a CDJ2000 may want to know if they fit on the CDJ2000 Nexus. The cover fits fine but the faceplate will need an extra 2 or 3 holes cutting out which can easily be done if you're competent with a modelling knife.
