I've tried to understand this setting, but it doesn't seem to work how I think it does. Can you please explain? Spent a great deal of time today practicing with this for my gig tomorrow and this glitch (beyond the device loading the completely wrong song sometimes) is the most prevalent.

Simply enable AUTO CUE - it will show in the display as "A.CUE." That prevents a track from automatically playing when loaded. AUTO PLAY allows the deck to go from track to track and play continuously, regardless of the AUTO CUE setting.
