Are you sure it's set to Vinyl mode? Make sure you set the right deck to Vinyl by hitting Shift and Slip, and when you press Shift the Slip button will light up meaning it's in Vinyl mode..

DDJ-SX2 right side controller issue
I have the pioneer DDJ-SX2: here is my issue
On my right side controller, I can only get it to scratch if I have the track on pause. At this time, I can maniuplate the controller wheel back and forth to scratch but when I hit the play button, the controller will only play but not allow me to scratch after that unless I hit the pause button again. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CONTRLLER WHEEL. Any Ideas or advice as to what could cause this.
My controller is only 2 months old.

Yes, I did look at that also. still no difference. Even in slip mode, it still will not function.

Issue has been resolved. It was not in vinyl mode! ;) thanks for the heads up.
