XDJ R1 browse my computer

Found a couple of glitches to report on this, because I was curious, too.

1. After analyzing a track in Rekordbox, with laptop connected to the unit (XDJ-RX), then loading it to a deck on the unit, it keeps the cue points the first time, but trying to simultaneously load the same track on the opposite deck, it shows the cue points visually, but they don't load to the buttons on the unit.

2. For some reason I can't change a beat grid on a track (option greyed out), only cue points, when connected to the unit via cat 5 cable.

1) If the deck / track is not set to auto-load hot cues on track load, the track will load the cues. See page 14 of the manual.

2) I believe that's a known limitation of the link feature; you would have to either edit within rekordbox or from a USB export device.

1) I get it now. Why wouldn't anyone want cue points to load when a track is loaded? (I don't get that.)
2) I was trying to edit the track (beat grid of track) in Rekordbox, but the grid button was greyed out while in play mode. If that's a limitation, fix it please!

Also, when adjusting a beat grid live with the XDJ-RX, I've been having some sync issues. But that's another issue for another thread! (Trying not to rely on this technology, but if it's there, I want it to work right!)

1) For performance reasons; you could still have hot cues assigned from other tracks and want to jump back to them instead of overwriting them.

2) The limitation is that the grid CAN NOT be edited over the link, and that can't be changed.

If you're adjusting the beat grid on the fly with sync engaged, you're certainly going to have some issues. I don't recommend doing that. ;)

Hot cues can be loaded from previous tracks? (or left loaded to the deck after loading a new track to that deck?) I get this somewhat, because I like to have multiple tracks cued up at a time for certain portions of events (like a boquet or garter toss at a wedding, where I'll need 4-6 songs cued up). But this isn't consistent when loading tracks - or I'd like to know how this works better!

And I understand that the grid can't be edited while sync is engaged. Was trying to use Rekordbox to do this, not the XDJ-RX hardware. Was thinking you could adjust the beat-grid, then re-load the track to the XDJ-RX and it would have the newly saved data (beat grid, cue points, etc.) saved.
