Has the noise/hum always been there? Almost seems like either a ground loop or bad grounds on the rca jacks..Try lifting the ground on your PC. They sell ground lift adapters at most hardware stores. If that does not work take it to a service center.

I have USB connection into my desktop and RCA cables into a receiver. The noise is very loud and apparent when plugged in, but it can not be heard as well with music playing. It seems to go along with the blinking of some lights also at times. Any ideas?

Yeah its always been there. Ill try new RCA cables again. Thanks ive also heard about ground loop issues and to get an rca ground loop isolator
Even with the RCA G/Loop it stil humming , try the "Mic Level" knob located to the left of the unit it affected the buzz noise level ( even when no mic is jacked in ).
Dont know if its a driver issue that needs to update
Yeah I tried that and it has no effect on the buzz. Thanks though
This sounds like a ground loop and/or power issue. This can be caused many factors. You're going to have to try swapping out every single piece one by one to find the culprit. USB cable, USB port, computer, RCA cable, speaker system, etc. The issue may even be the electrical system in your house. I know it's not ideal but you should also try testing it out at a friend's house. Please try all of these and report back. Thank you.
Hi,
I have the exact same issue and several customers of the site I bought it from too. Has any of what has been advised worked?
I have just purchased 2 ddj-sb2 consoles. I connected the first to my sound system and have been experiencing the same issue as described by the other users. I found that if the microphone jack is turned up without anything in it, the sound is worse. Can you provide any additional information on how to properly hook up this particular controller so that there are no ground loops in your system?
Additional suggestions are to try a different USB cable, another USB port on your computer, or another computer entirely.
I have this same issue, try turning the mic volume down if it is a static noise, also i have dropouts sometimes while mixing and when a quiet part on the track is happening, i am using a high speed high preformance USB cord, so i have no idea other than it is the controller i have tried all my sound systems with multiple cables trying RCA (phono) 3.75mm headphone jack and more, and guess what. Still happens. It is very hard to have a live set when it sound like you have a alien 👽 trying to communicate with me because of lol the buzzing.
Deludente...
Sorry, but this is not a fault with the DDJ - in most cases where you disconnect the DDJ from your computer, you'll find the noise stops, indicating that the issue is caused by your computer due to interference, typically from the charging circuit.
This is a Pioneer DDJ-SB2 issue (and it should of been a recall). I found that when you take a piece of duct tape and wrap it across the body of the DDJ-SB2 and over the mic level knob it takes the hum down. (THE HUM COMES FROM THE MIC LEVEL KNOB!!! (PUSH IT IN, while connected to computer (IT STOPS, then let it go (STARTS BACK UP) When you take the tape off then it gets loud. I will do a Youtube video on it. It is not the consumers computer because if that was the case going from computer to computer it would stop! THE DDJ-SB2 SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED!!!
@Salters > The mic pre-amp will make noise if you have the knob turned up with no mic connected.
