same issue here with the latest version of serato dj... but apparently the sb2 shows up in earlier versions of serato but never when I try the latest version.

DDJ SB2 won't connect
just bought a ddj sb 2
already had serato installed
downloaded the driver
turned on serato
connected my controller
says ddj sb 2 connecting may take up to a minute
then nothing happens
serato doesn't switch to two decks like i've seen in the past when i connect other controllers.
started my trial of serato suite too, and i can't use my product, very disappointed.

Try another USB port on your computer or also try replacing the USB cable.

I seriously was doubting it could be the USB cable as it's the cable that shipped with the unit but with that said there is always a possibility that Pioneer shipped a bad cable.. which would suck but currently using another USB cable and will see how that goes... I ruled out USB port long ago but who knows the combination of a possible bad cable could have thrown that logic out the window... time will tell.. plan on beating the pioneer sb2 up when I get a chance as the problem happens when the jog wheel is being used... so I plan on backspinning and scratching the crap out of it for a few hours.
