Sounds to me like SLIP mode is engaged. Press the SLIP button and you should be back to business as usual.

Cdj 2000 nexus issue
Hi
Somehow a mode has been activated on left cdj where 'needle' flashes in red, and when i am in vinyl mode neither the play or cue buttons will work. I've tried a factory reset, and this mode is still activated. I find the needle search thing a bit gay and annoying so not really keen on settling for that as a solution. How do i get the cdj functioning without 'needle' flashing?

Slip mode is not engaged, it's almost as if there is permanent weight on the platter
