@Toma > As @Ravinstomper says, the PAD FX has a filter as well, which works in a similar way. Check that out, or learn to love the manual filters in combination with some of those new hardware beat effects on the mixer section.
Hello, I'm planning on upgrading to DDJ 1000, however there is one feature that's missing and is really turning me off from buying this controller. I know that there are independant filters on each channel but my mixing style requires a Filter on the master channel or in the beat FX section just like in the DJM series mixers. Is it possible to switch 1 of the hardware effects for a filter ? I never use fx like flanger or the new FX which you included so is it possible to switch the hardware FX or is this a limitation ?

The filter on the djm mixers in the fx section have a time lfo. if this is what like - have you thought about the pad FX?
the filter in pad FX has a beat lfo and you can set parameters per pad so you can scale climb each pad to make the effect more or less dramatic.
pioneer prob thought why add this to the FX again for space over the new FX.
After playing with this for a week or so now, I decided to map a secondary midi controller to FX2 section in rekordbox. This then gives you double effects on any track or master and you can also select a filter in the software too. it's certainly opened the possibilities for me anyway.
obviously this wont work if your using no laptop with just external inputs though.
On the ddj 1000 filter knob I've noticed when turned all the way left or right it doesn't totally kill the sound. Is there an option where you can set this for a total kill when turned all the way. Would make transitions a whole lot better and easier.
It's not intended to.
