DDJ1000 Feature Request

I would like to see a firmware update that gives you the ability to select a Hot Cue while the reverse button is pressed down, so that when the reverse ends the Hot Cue is activated.

This would make for a far more efficient and effective end result in using the reverse button.

Currently when using the reverse button you cannot select a hot cue and the track just continues.

This would be much much nicer solution, however I fear this could be a hardware limitation?

Can you provide a scenario where this is useful or necessary? I don't quite understand how it would be beneficial.

It absoutely would be beneficial, so perhaps i didnt explain it correctly.

Scenario : I have a Hot Cue which is a breakdown in a track. The track is currently playing along but I want to have a more dramatic entry into the Breakdown, so I use the reverse button and while its reversing I hit the cue button to go directly into the breakdown.

Currently the device does not allow you to select anything while the track is reversing.

Surely you now see the benefit?

Its quite an effective tool to have and works well when done properly.

Is it not possible for you to flip the switch back to forward and hit the hot cue button at that time? I'm just asking because I'm not seeing how it's a problem the way it's set-up now based on your explanation of what you're trying to do.

No, because the reverse button is quantized, so it doesnt allow you to hit the Cue Button until after the process is finished and by the time you hit the cue button its too late.

Have you considered changing the quantize settings in the preferences?
