Regarding the shape of the CDJ line...

When I first took notice of the CDJ-1000MK series players they looked just plain sexy/awesome/underground-ish. I think it would be great if Pioneer could pull that off with the new CDJ 900/2000, XDJ 1000 product lines.

I think the CDJ-1000MK series players were also much heavier and seemed more robust. When I look the CDJ line up now the players just seem a bit too much plastic less sexy metal hardware action. ( have not seen a 2000nxs model in person yet though so I can't speak for it)

Maybe Pioneer would check into this for future models. Maybe give new models some rounded corners or at least use a more robust heavy duty material. Just my 2 cents.

Considering the design has stood the test of time of 3 CDJ-2000 models so far, I'd say it's actually quite solid, never mind the fact "the other guys" pretty much mimicked the design with their product.

While I'm all for improving form if it improves function, I would encourage you to have some actual hands-on time with the NXS2. It has some weight to it and the build quality is not "cheap" or ABS plastic as found with other tiers of Pioneer products.

Cheers.
