Have you tried using this with another computer to verify that the issue is not related to the computer / installation?

Out of curiosity, have you tried using a different USB cable?
If that has been tried, I'd like to ask you to use a MIDI monitor to see if the fader itself is sending signal to the computer. With the DDJ-RB selected as the source device, it should show activity in the MIDI INPUT window for the entire travel of the fader. If it does not, the issue is the hardware. If it does, the issue is the software or mapping.

Same problem over here. I have tried to use a MIDI monitor and it does not show any sign of activity before reaching level 8 of my left channel fader.
It doesn't seem to me that pioneer has adressed this as a problem and it is very frustrating due to the fact that i play gigs in my local club every other day.
Pioneer , please, contact us as soon as possible.
