DDJ-RR no audio in performance mode
HI
Brand new to DJ'ing and what seems to be an easy set up is turning out as a complete headache.
I'm running...
El capitan version 10.11.5 on a Mac book pro.
Driver is DDJ-RR_M_2.0.0
Firmware version 1.0.8
When Im in export mode, I get master level output through the DDJ-RR but cannot use any controls/buttons etc.
When I switch to performance mode I can use the DDJ-RR controls but do not get any output through master, headphones etc. The level indicators do not register anything.
Please can someone help to debug this?

Sound within the system preferences on the mac is configured to output to the ddj rr.
In rekordbox the preferences are set as follows:
audio - ddj rr
input record - master out
master output - ddj rr: master
headphones output - ddj rr: phones
booth output - ddj rr: booth
Control device information - ddj rr
