The majority of drives will work with the RX2. Although I have not tested the Toshiba drive you mention, unless it draws too much power, there's no reason it wouldn't work.
I don't recommend the HyperX drives as they are absolutely horrible at writing small files; their performance drops like a brick.

Toshiba spec is
USB bus power (max. 900mA)
What then you say with this ?
