ddj sx2

Powered up my controller and then connect it to my Mac and the different buttons on the controller started to light up as if I was pressing all sorts of buttons on the controller.

Do you mean the start-up sequence? Or the stand-by mode?

Start up, as soon as I connect my laptop. I tried connecting another djs laptop and it did the same thing.

So ... you mean the 100% normal start-up sequence... where it goes through a test pattern to show all the buttons and pads and such... then stops, right?

Yes after it does it’s normal start up, I then connected the laptop about 5min later and that’s when it when it went bizarre

Another problem is my left jog wheel isn’t working, can’t control the track at all.

That could be that it went into "standby" mode, which can be disabled.

You may have disabled vinyl mode; press SHIFT+SLIP to toggle vinyl mode and see if that changes what you were experiencing.

Can this controller work with virtual DJ? AMD timecode Rane v2.5 records? All I hear is a high pinch whining sound and no music!

Yes, the controller did go into standby, did what you suggested and it the jog wheel is good to go now. So do you have any ideas what caused my first issue to happen?
