DDJ-1000 PADS NOT FUNCTIONAL

Hello,
I cannot use or access any part of the pad modes on my DDJ-1000, I can visually see the hot cues on the jog and on Rekord Box but doesn’t show up on the pads. They stay a dull purple colour and I’m only able to change through modes but not actually use them. I had no problem before using them? Can anyone help me please

Which firmware version and rekordbox version are you using, on which OS?

2.3.2 the newest version

Uh... neither of those are newest for anything.

rekordbox 5.4.3 is the current version of software, 1.06 is the current DDJ firmware, and your OS would be something like 10.14.3 (Mojave).
