Usb issues CDJ 2000 nexus 2

Hi wondering if any one can help me please. I have the below drive for my usb use in my CDJ 2000 nexus. I’ve re formtted the drive using a third party software into FAT32 (which works on another smaller 32 go stick I have )

when I plug the other dove in: the cdj says no usb and the on the screen flashes format usb
any help please ? The drive I have is

SanDisk Extreme PRO 500 GB Portable SSD, Up to 1050 MB/s, USB-C, Ruggedized and Water-Resistant

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the functionality of any USB device with Pioneer DJ hardware; it could simply be that particular model is not compatible and will result in an error regardless of the format type. Please try a different tool to format the drive, that there is only one partition, and ensure it's also set to Master Boot Record.
