tracks from external hard drive not showing up in Collection

I am using an external drive to store music, but I can't search through the tracks on there because they're not showing up in the Collection. They appear once I search through the folders using Explorer and play them, but I'd like for them to all be in the collection.

Do you have your database set to the external or to your laptop drive?

How do you do that? It's just in the drive, and it shows up under explorer

If you have it in a master folder (or several folders), just drag them to the COLLECTION and then rekordbox will analyse them. You can then search the songs or browse them through the EXPLORER part of the tree.
