Did you check to make sure the PC/Phono/Line switch on the front of the unit is set to PC? There's no other way to put it into "thru" mode beyond that selector. Was it on every channel or just one specific channel?
I have pioneer sx2 and serato dj and they worked perfectly but some days ago,suddenly in serato appears this 'thru mode" but i didnt press or do anything to activate,just happen! For example When i load a song it is grey and it has no sound...! I dont know what to do...I have mac book air os x and in serato i have the newest update 1.9.5! I will appreciate if someone can explain me something to fix it! :(

That same exact thing happened to me tonight . I wonder if it's the version of serato like then newest update. Please post if u figure it out
I'm seeing the exact same problem. I'm running 1.9.5 with pioneer XS2 & the left dec plays fine but deck 2 is showing "Thru". Total bummer.
What's up guy's I have the same problem, I was doing a gig, and the thru just pop up on my computer.. I had just upgraded to serato Dj 1.9.5 the very same day... so it's the software update.... wow
Has anyone got any ideas on this? The same thing has happened to me- channel 2 constantly sets itself to thru- when it does so the entire unit stops putting out sound, even though the meters are registering level. I've checked the switches on the front, and they're all set to pc. It feels like some sort of firmware glitch because random faders or cue button pushes seem to trigger the problem.
This is a massive problem, I've got three big shows in the next two days and I've only had this kit since April! I'm totally freaking out, please help!
Ian, are you using the latest firmware version (1.06) and the latest version of Serato DJ (1.9.6)?

This is the first time I've had a chance to test the unit (in the meantime I've just reverted to the serato box). Both the firmware and serato are the latest versions. Tp be on the safe side i reinstalled the 1.06 firmware, and now none of the channels are making any sound. I'm not a newbie to DJ kit, so frankly, for the price of the unit, this is a very poor performance
Sounds like you're experiencing a hardware malfunction.
If you're SX2 is still under warranty, please contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region for further assistance. If not, please contact your nearest authorized repair center.
Same is happening to me after updating to the latest version. Channel 2 just cuts to thru and all sound cuts out. This is a major issue for professionals. I’ve had it happen twice at big gigs. Bought an SX3 to replace the SX2 before reading this thread and the lights don’t work on it. Pretty disappointed here. Please help!

SOMEBODY SAVE ME MY DDJSX2 A THRU B CH2 AND CH 4 STOPED WORKING.
