Those iTunes playlists must be imported and analyzed by rekordbox in order to be used over the link.
I'm not sure, if I did something wrong or if it is not supported ATM:
Is it possible to access iTunes playlists on the XDJ-RX using the LINK mode?
Synching all iTunes playlists works fine into rekordbox using the Sync manager. Also synching all lists to USB works. They appear all on the XDJ.
But when using LINK with rekordbox, the playlist are not accessible.
Any ideas?

Welcome back and thanks for your answer, Pulse.
All iTunes tracks are imported and analyzed. The iTunes playlists are also synced via the Sync Manager.
When syncing them to USB, the show up on the XDJ-RX under the normal Playlist tree.
But when using the Link function, the Playlist tree is empty.
IMHO, both methods should behave identically, as long as you use the Sync Manager.
Sorry, maybe I misunderstood -- are you browsing them from the iTunes branch of the tree or are you using the sync manager to import those iTunes playlists to rekordbox, then using the rekordbox Playlists branch to load them?
You can't load them over the link directly from the iTunes branch to the hardware.
Sorry, maybe I was also a little bit unclear.
In rekordbox I use only the iTunes branch to access my music. I do not import the playlists to separate rb playlists. Why should I? This would make the sync manager senseless IMHO.
On my XDJ-RX I have two use cases:
1. At home I use the XDJ and rb via the LINK function. On the XDJ, the playlist tree is empty. (Feature request: Please provide an additional iTunes tree on XDJ/CDJ via LINK. Like on Native Instruments Kontrol S8 e.g.)
2. On the road, I export all music and iTunes playlists using the sync manager to USB stick. The sync manager creates identical playlists on the stick. I can see all my iTunes playlists under the normal playlist tree on the XDJ/CDJ.
Conclusion:
iTunes is still my main tool to manage music and playlists. The sync manager keeps the iTunes tree in rb up to date. If I would clone them to normal rb lists, then I need to keep them up to date all the time.
My XDJ doesn't show any iTunes playlists at home using LINK. The whole playlist tree is empty on that device. That means I have to go back to my computer all the time and select the next track in rb. This makes the idea of a standalone device a little bit pointless.
As a workaround I have to update the USB stick every time I change something in iTunes. Also very inconvenient...
This is how it looks on the Kontrol S8 (which is always in some kind of LINK mode obviously): ;-)

The reason you can't browse the iTunes tree is those playlists haven't necessarily been analysed. If you use the sync manager, it will automatically add and analyse any tracks within those playlists, thus allowing you to load them on the XDJ-RX.
