Hey all!
I just finally got around to setting up, and updating Rekordbox, drivers, and firmwares for my new Ddj rzx. I love the hardware. It feels great, and of good build quality. I am having an issue though, with the beat matching. I have my setting at +\- 6 for all four decks. Now, when I am playing, the Bpm read out on the screens of the Ddj don't ever perfectly go in line with the other. Ie: on will be at 122.04, and the other will be at 122.02. It won't allow me to tweak it to an exact value of either of the decks. So they are ever so slightly out. This is okay, but during a long mix, or if I am sampling a piece of the playing track, it will drift. So I am constantly having to correct the mix. Even beat matching by ear, the tracks will drift, because the values will never read exactly the same. Ie 122.02, and 122.02. They are out no matter what. Never exactly the same. Is there something in the settings of the software that I need to change, to fix the issue!? Thanks so much!!
Lennon

Try analyse two test tracks in 'normal mode' and see if they still drift.
In 'dynamic' analysis the bpm drifts throughout the track.
They are all analyzed in normal mode. The Bpm isn't actively drifting or changing. On my nexus set up, I can dial in the Bpm for any track exact, and perfect every time. With the rzx, there is a slight difference in the Bpm read out. I believe this is a firmware issue. The only way that the Bpm can read the same, is if sync is active. I am not a fan of using sync, yeah I'm old school like that lol. Anything pioneer? Will this be something looked at soon?
Thanks!

Any feedback would be great. Will a firmware update be released, that will correct the problem?
Also, I've noticed that every time I launch rekordbox DJ, I keep having to set the mixer back to isolation mode
I am facing some issues with DDJ-RZX as well and I have an inquire open with Supoport (https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/requests/22489).
What make me not happy is that the last Firmware for RZX was released in July/2016 and nothing new so far.
Besides that the rumors that information that DDJ-R series is not performing well in Sales this make me now concerned about the future.

In Parallel we see other brands like Denon releasing new CDJ and Controllers.
Unfortunatelly since I invested a lot of money in RZX the only think to do is wait and see the next moves in this market but I really hope that Pioneer release a firmware for RZX soon and also fix some issues with Rekordbox.
Let's wait crossing our fingers :)
It's not only the RZX exhibiting this issue, the RZ has it as well. On controllers with shorter pitch faders, the problem is compounded at any pitch scale (6/10/16%).
It's almost as if they didn't use high-resolution faders... Or their software fails to properly increment based off the input. Only board I've seen work properly to .01 BPM was the SX2.
I honestly want to say that my Traktor F1 faders with 128 steps translates to .06-.12 BPM adjustment at 6% width.
That's no good. I'm going to return it then. That isn't acceptable in my opinion. Should work bang on. The unit has been out long enough, to fix this issue. Pioneer has always been better than that.
I don't want to return it, I really like it. If it weren't for these issues it would be amazing solution for mobile gigs. I like the r series much better than serato series as well. Hopefully pioneer doesn't give up on their rekordbox based controls. They are great going from mobile to clubs.
Dear Lennon,
Thank you very much for your comments. Could you please tell us more details on inquiry here so that we can help you?
Thanks,
i have the same problem with ddj rzx. i cannot set bpm exactly.
Please, please, help us fix this.
Several problems I have with RZX was fixed with the new 4.3.0 Beta version, the only remaining so far is the BPM acuracy, you are not able to rely put the correct BPM the most part of the times..
This issue was also noticed by DJ City guiys during the review, in the video bellow at 2:48 min he talk about that and show the issue.
