CDJ Plays Wrong Song

So, I've got a recurring situation.

My CDJ 900 NXS plays the wrong track, displays the wrong BPM, etc. This has happened on more than one occasion. I have resorted to wiping out the PIONEER and CONTENTS folders on my USB devices and re-transfer everything, but the issue keeps coming back - with other tracks.

Unfortunately, the issue affects a large number of tracks. Multiple tracks refer to other multiple tracks - for example, if I find the name of the actual track that is playing (as opposed to the one named in the title) and try to play that track, it plays yet another third unrelated track!

In rekordbox, the correct track plays (at least, with the one limited test that I ran).

I've checked my USB drives for file system errors, everything is fine.

I've re-analyzed, re-keyed all the tracks in rekordbox, no effect.

I wouldn't want to wipe out the database, as having to manually enter all of the track metadata in the rekordbox interface is a daunting task for all my tracks.

How can we go by troubleshooting and fixing this issue?

Please feel free to let me know if I may collect any helpful diagnostics.

Thanks for your help.

Do you export the tracks / playlists from Rekordbox or just copy them? If you export the playlist, for example with the sync manager, to the USB everything should play as in Rekordbox.

What does Rekordbox do when I drag-drop tracks from my collection to the USB device shown in the Devices node of the Sync Manager to the left of my collection? Is that an export, or a copy?

That sounds like a copy to me. Set up the sync manager, export and test your tracks.

You said you "wiped out" the folders, but have you actually tried formatting the USB drive and exporting everything from scratch? Make sure the USB drive has a unique name you've not given it before.

I am also having this issue with the 2000 nexus 2s.

I am syncing as usual but the track it says is playing definitely isn't

@Anthony > My first recommendation would be to format your USB device and export your tracks anew. It could be that there was an issue with your export database on the drive.
