DDJ-RR - error whilst opening "Line (Pioneer DDJ-RR)

Ive reinstalled both rekordbox and the ddj-rr driver multiple times using the different threads similar to this but nothing will work. 

I've had it working once but then had to relocate everything and when I turned it back on I got the same error and since then I still haven't had any luck.

Hello Jamie,

The error you saw occurs when you change the setting of Preferences > Audio to Line(PIONEER DJ DDJ-RR) while PC Master Out is enabled. 

If you want to use "Line(PIONEER DJ DDJ-RR)", please use the workaround below.
Press the PC Master Out button before opening Preferences.

Then, select "Line(PIONEER DJ DDJ-RR)" from Preferences > Audio.
