Connecting 2 laptops using rekordbox with 2 xdj-1000's using ethernet cables

Me and a friend each have a macbook containing our own music. We want to connect both our laptops to 2 xdj-1000's using ethernetcables + hub, so we can use rekordbox to drag our tracks onto any of both xdj's. Is this possible?

We tried this briefly before but this caused the currently playing xdj to crash and loop (1 second loop) the track that was currently loaded. Did we forget to change some settings perhaps?

Yes, you can connect two computers, and you've already done it the right way. Just ensure you have the latest firmware on the XDJs and that you have the load-lock enabled so you can't load a track to a deck which is playing.

Each computer will have a number and you can see in the display (within rekordbox) when the players are linked so you can drag-and-drop.
