yes i lose power ,
This has happend to me, however I did not loose power. I formated a CD R as instructed downloaded the Firmware and the instructions and during the Update ROM ERROR POPED UP.
I cannot find anything on this and have contacted Pioneer Support with NO LUCK!
@Phil > That's a firmware update error. If you can't flash it again, you'll have to send it for servicing.
Pulse I cannot upon power on it goes right back to ROM ERROR.
What if I Tried flashing back to 2.20? Any idea where i could get the Firmware?
The 2.20 is no longer available... but it could be a bad burn.
I am currently burning from windows 10???
I can't say with any certainty, but so long as the zip has been unpacked, the filename isn't changed, the CD is burned (and closed) properly, it should at least start the update process. If it fails to start, it's a bad burn / bad data. If it starts the update, but then doesn't boot the hardware properly, it's a faulty update or bad ROM in the player and will need servicing.
NO LUCK still showing ROM ERROR.
This is gonna cost a fortune
