Hi,
I am doing a lot of research these days about the XDJ-RX and the Denon MCX8000.
I am going to change from a CD dj to a digital one and looking for a unit that can be stand alone but mostly will be used with a laptop. I would like to be searching and filtering trough my music collection via the laptop and then load it to a deck on the controller. Showing all the info on the screen of the controller so i don't need to be looking at the laptop all the time.
I can't find a clear video that the XDJ-RX can do this including all the mixer functionalities (color & beat effects).
can someone explain how to setup (also witch physical connection to make) the console and the laptop to have rekordbox dj (performance mode) working with the XDJ-RX

Hi Tim,
You can search and Filter trough your laptop and load them to the Decks, in the Perfomance mode you will NOT have the Waveform and track Information on the XDJ RX Display .... this only works in Export Mode ...
Perhaps somebody from PioneerDJ can state when this will be possible... Looking for this feature too quite a while now....

There are 3 ways to use the XDJ-RX:
In all of these methods you can search and filter your tracks, but when using rekordbox to do so, you have the luxury of a larger screen on which to do it, which is why when linked or connected, we recommend using the computer for that purpose; the keyboard and screen make it easier and faster.
You can see ALMOST all the same information on the XDJ as you can on the computer display - let me know what you want to see and I'll tell you if it's possible.
