Is it formatted as FAT32?
Hi guys, I just bought a Seagate Backup Plus Slim 3.0 with 2TB but I don't know for which reason its not being recognized on the CDJ 2000 and 2000 Nexus.
Could you let me understand the possible issues?
Thanks a lot!

Is it formatted as FAT32?
Alexsandro,
I am 90% sure that I know your problem and that's because of the power consumption your harddrive is asking for. I had a WD My Passport HDD of 1 TB and it gave me an usb error on the CDJ 2000 nexus. Everything was set up as it was supposed to be, but kept saying usb error.
Than I bought a Samsung 500GB T3 SSD and everything worked fine.
This is probobly because of the lower power needs of an SSD. A HDD needs power to spin the disks and for a laser. A SSD doesn't need this.
I hope I could help you and many others with this problem. I read a lot on the internet about this problem.
Hey guys, I got really confused about all this.
Apparently Seagate drivers should be the "best" to run on the Pioneer devices however its not happening.
I think you might be right, about it. I have read a the same issue on other forums.
Lets spend some extra bucks to get another driver now hauaauauha. Damn.
Thanks for your help!
I would really recommend that man. It's double the money and half the capacity of the drive (In my case though), but you will get a much better experience using a large drive, with a HDD compared to a SSD.
By the way, another advantage of using a SSD is the fast exporting and reading times on Rekordbox and CDJ's.
I can only recommend it and I hope your problem will be solved by this!
If the drive accepts an additional power source, using one may solve this issue.
