ShoulId Buy?

I've been watching the problems since 2013 and attempts to fix issues via Firmware updates.

I'm again wanting to buy an R1 because of its ability to play CDs.

Should I buy an R1 or go with an RX or a CDJ set up?

If you already have the R1 would you buy it again?  Why/Why not?

Regardless of the issues with the R1, it's a great unit - what would make me not purchase it, even if you had a need for CD playback, is the limited display size. I would exclusively use it with an iPad running the companion app to be able to browse the contents of a connected USB device on a larger display. Given that added cost (say $330 for a new iPad with the lowest capacity), you're looking at over $1200 (roughly). I'd weigh that out vs. the other options (incl. the XDJ-RX) or even a DDJ.
