Rekordbox Playback Skipping when DDJ-SX2 Connected

Hi all,

I have a DDJ-SX2 which I'm running through Rekordbox 4.4.0
When playing tracks through rekordbox without the controller connected everything works fine.

When the controller is connected however, tracks will stutter/skip arbitrarily. 
Stutters last about 0.2-0.5 seconds and are frequent enough to make mixing unbearable. See this quick upload:

Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Intel Core i7 860
4GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970

The controller works fine in Serato DJ.
I've also connected it to Rekordbox on a few Mac laptops and had it run fine.
Firmware has been updated to 1.06
CPU usage shows nothing outstanding.

How can I fix this?
