I would start by running the tracks through rekordbox and possibly trying a different USB drive. What was the make / model of the drive you were using at the time?
Hello,
I just got a freeze problem yesterday evening while performing live with the XDJ-R1 using USB key and Remote Box (with files not analysed by rekordbox). Second time this happens to me within a month. Obliged to shutdown and reboot the whole XDJ, impossible to switch to CD or to the other deck.
I know this is a well known issue, but I thought that by the time this would have been fixed, it seems not.
My firmware is v1.13, and the file that was played when the freeze appeared has been played many times before without any crash.
What would be the next steps to try to figure out how to prevent this to happen again?
Thank you,
Cheers,
Maxime

Thanks for your answer,
my USB drive is a SanDisk 128Gb, FAT32 formatted. As I said, this is not the first time I play the song, and I can't believe this is a problem linked to that song.
My first guess concerning the crash would rather be something related to a conflict. My firmware is v1.13, and I was using Ipad with iOS 9.3.2, do you think that could be an explanation since iOS has since evolved to 10.3.2?
v1.13 is dated august 2016
the last remotebox app version is dated march 2016
iOS 9.3.2 should be compatible to these dates, but...
SanDisk manufactures several different models, and some of them are not very good. Can you tell me the model of the drive as well please?
I don't believe the issue is related to the iOS version; the app is still compatible with devices running iOS9.3.2.
